Raeisi arrived in the United States on Monday to deliver a speech at the 77th United Nations General Assembly session about the Islamic Republic's stance on the “fair international order through economic multilateralism.”
Upon his arrival in New York, the Iranian president said that the United Nations and its General Assembly have the capacity to provide the opportunity to express the opinion of the Iranian people and explain the foreign policy of the Islamic Republic of Iran.
Iran uses this opportunity to make the voice of the Iranian nation be heard by the world, he said, adding that this voice is louder today than ever because last year the country achieved a great victory against the enemy's hybrid warfare.
The enemies thought that they could put Iran in trouble but they made a miscalculation, Raeisi added.
He went on to say that the great nation of Iran has a lot to say in fighting against discrimination and injustice.
Raeisi is scheduled to hold talks with heads of state attending the events as well as international figures.
This trip is being held at the invitation of the Secretary General of the United Nations, said Raeisi before leaving the country early Monday.
Saying that he will hold talks with leaders of some countries, he noted, "In this trip, there are no plans to negotiate or meet with the Americans, and we have no plans to meet with them."
President considered attending this meeting as an opportunity to express the rational and logical views of the Islamic Republic of Iran.
